SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse is excited to celebrate the sport of lacrosse this fall from Nov. 5-13, 2022 with its second annual National Celebrate Lacrosse Week.
A key component of National Celebrate Lacrosse Week will be free Pick Up & Play clinics that will give youth players a chance to try out the sport for the first time. These two-hour clinics are designed for players with no previous lacrosse experience and will utilize stations to learn various lacrosse skills.
USA Lacrosse has partnered with lacrosse organizations around the country to host these clinics, allowing participants with a way to connect with local groups to further their exploration of the sport in the future. Registration is now open for 70 locations around the country. The clinics are free of charge thanks to support from the USA Lacrosse Foundation and all necessary equipment will be provided for use during the clinic.
In the inaugural National Celebrate Lacrosse Week, USA Lacrosse partnered with local lacrosse organizations to conduct nearly 40 clinics and attracted more than 2,000 registrants.
In addition to the clinics, USA Lacrosse will launch a social media campaign during National Celebrate Lacrosse Week to celebrate the sport and encourage participation and involvement for all to continue growing the game.
