Sleepless nights and breakfast all day with Team USA’s last-second hero.
My fiancée and I went to New Orleans after last year’s PLL season. We ate well, listened to great music and explored the city for five days.
Traveling. I’m far from a seasoned outdoorsman, but I’ve enjoyed seeing new places and getting out in nature. I have a trip planned to Yosemite National Park.
I had the opportunity to serve as an assistant coach for Team Uganda in 2014. The team’s first win was a culmination of a ton of effort from a lot of people. It was a moment many years in the making. To see it happen live was something I was truly proud to have a very small role in.
Eggs, bacon and toast. I love breakfast. There have been nights where I’ve struggled to fall asleep because I’m too excited for breakfast the following morning.
I look at the front of my jersey and think about those that have played in the past and currently play on that team and try to uphold the standards they’ve set. Then I look at the back and think of my family and everything they’ve done to advance my career. It’s a small gratitude practice I’ve done before every game for the last decade. It’s always helped place me in a good headspace before taking the field.
I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to fly. [Princeton] teammate Nick Fernandez is my go-to birds of prey expert. He tells me the harpy eagle is as cool as it gets.
I’ve really enjoyed having a role with the PLL off the field and seeing the company grow from an idea to where it is today. If pro lacrosse didn’t exist, I could see myself being involved in the start-up world. The concept of taking a small team with an idea and building it into a business is definitely attractive to me.
