ATLANTA — After a week relegated to the No. 2 position, Brigham Young rebounded with a 3-0 sweep of ranked California teams to regain its spot atop the MCLA Division I New Balance Weekly Coaches Poll.

The Cougars (5-0) gobbled up 18 of the 27 first-place votes cast this week, leaving them a comfortable 32 points ahead of Concordia-Irvine (6-0), which had four first-place tallies.

Clemson (10-1) was 10 points behind the Eagles in third place, propped up by three first-place votes. Liberty (6-1) was slotted fourth with the remaining two top votes.

Florida (9-1) rounded out the top five.

Dominican (3-4) was shepherded out of the poll this week, replaced by No. 23 Texas (4-2).
