Steps Forward for Florida, Navy in USA Lacrosse Division I Women's Top 20

Given the consistent chaos of Division I women's lacrosse in 2026, week three was something of a mild week. That, of course, is relative to the first two weeks of topsy-turvy ranking changes.

This week, the top three teams — North Carolina, Stanford and Maryland — remain in place in the USA Lacrosse Division I Women's Top 20. Beyond that, though, there was some reassessing.

Florida has re-established itself after a season-opening stumble against Michigan, and the Gators are now back up to No. 8 — one spot behind the Wolverines. Navy is also climbing, and the Mids are now No. 10 on the heels of a 4-0 start.

Like its Patriot League rival, Loyola is trending upward. The Greyhounds check in at No. 12 after taking care of business against Princeton.

Continue on to see the rest of the Top 20 and rankings updates for Division II and Division III.

There are two new faces in the top three of the Division II Top 20 — No. 2 Maryville and No. 3 Flagler.

The other big mover of the week is Slippery Rock, the team that took down the aforementioned Golden Rams. The Rock trailed 11-9 entering the fourth quarter but came back to win 13-12, with Grace Rotter netting the winner with 4:41 remaining.

USA LACROSSE DIVISION III
WOMEN’S TOP 20

It was a wild week, as three teams ranked in the top 10 — Franklin & Marshall, Gettysburg, and St. John Fisher — all lost.

Scranton didn’t hold a lead against Franklin & Marshall until the final three seconds when a Grace Didominica goal off an Eileen Hewitt assist broke the 7-7 tie. Hewitt led the team with four points, while goalie Eva Guerino made eight saves. With the victory, Scranton moves into the Top 20.

Denison is a big mover, too, with victories over Gettysburg and Dickinson. The Big Red were down two against the Bullets going into the fourth quarter before outscoring them 4-1 to pull away with their first-ever victory against Gettysburg. Freshman Finlay Harmon scored the winner with 58 seconds left, her third of the day. Harmon also scored three times against Dickinson.
