Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Michigan’s second win of the season was a memorable one, the Wolverines first win over Johns Hopkins in men’s lacrosse in program history. John Kiracofe made 16 saves for Michigan.
2. The 1-2 showdown between North Carolina and Syracuse was all about No. 1 on Saturday. The Tar Heels got five goals and three assists from Jamie Ortega and overcame an early 4-1 deficit to rout Syracuse 17-6.
Jamie Ortega in the middle? Yeah, that’s automatic.

5. North Carolina and Syracuse weren’t the only ACC women’s Top 10 teams battling. Notre Dame held off a late rally from Virginia and Boston College outgunned Duke.
Jared Bernhardt became Maryland’s all-time leading goal scorer in men’s lacrosse.
Five defenders were added to the 2021 Tewaaraton Women’s Watch List on Friday, including Northwestern’s Ally Palermo.
Syracuse’s leading scorer, Stephen Rehfuss, was among 15 players added to the 2021 Tewaaraton Men’s Watch List.
Drexel kept things rolling in a win over Hofstra on Saturday. Ella Brockway looked at the Dragons hot start, now at 8-1.
Vermont’s offense finally cooled off againt UMBC on Saturday, but it’s been a fun and entertaining start to the season for the Catamounts.
We launched a new women’s lacrosse series, “No Boundaries,” with ESPN women’s lacrosse commentator Dana Boyle on Friday. UNC goalie Taylor Moreno was our first guest, and her no-lace shoes floored Boyle.
