Good morning. Here's the latest from the lacrosse world:
1. Make it nine
The United States made it a perfect 9 for 9, edging Canada to win the World Lacrosse Men’s U21 championship behind five goals from C.J. Kirst. The U.S. improved to 54-2 all-time in winning its nine world championship at this level.

2. Global ambassadors
Some of the best moments for the U21 team happened off the field – with the U.S. team immersing itself in the event experience.
3. Chrome now realizing the benefits from JT Giles-Harris.
The wait for JT Giles-Harris has been worth it for the Chrome, who are benefiting from a stellar season from the defenseman after he missed all of 2021 with an injury. Chrome will be the No. 2 seed for the PLL playoffs, which open Sept. 3 in Boston.
Can Jared Bernhardt make the transition from Tewaaraton winner to D2 football champion to the NFL?
Virginia’s men’s lacrosse program has landed Griffin Kology, an All-Southern Conference defenseman from Richmond who is the younger brother of former UVa player Kyle Kology.
LaSalle has named Kelly Ryan as assistant coach for women’s lacrosse. She most recently was the head coach at Averett.
William & Mary officially announced its recruiting class for the 2023 season.
Brennan O’Neill and Alex Slusher teamed up on an absolute beauty of a goal in the USA’s victory over Canada.
Not sure which is better: The Brennan fake or the Slush low to high?

There's a bit of a break in the major lacrosse schedule until the PLL playoffs open on Sept. 3.
