Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The National Lacrosse League had a light weekend schedule with just two games. A cast of largely former Knighthawks in Halifax beat the new-look Rochester franchise 14-12 to improve to 2-0 and Colorado beat defending league champion Calgary 8-7 in overtime on Jordan Gilles' breakaway.

2. Brendan Hoffman, a 6-foot-6 force, is the Nike/US Lacrosse Preseason Player of the Year in the NCAA Division III men’s ranks. Hoffman is a primary reason Williams is ranked No. 1 in the preseason.
3. Courtney Patterson, the 2019 IWLCA Midfielder of the Year, is the Nike/US Lacrosse Preseason Player of the Year for NCAA Division III women. Patterson’s Gettysburg squad is ranked No. 2 in the preseason.
Xavier Arline, a highly-coveted senior from Shoreham-Wading River (N.Y.) committed to North Carolina, has reopened his recruitment with hopes of playing both football and lacrosse in college. Inside Lacrosse with the story.
Three former U.S. team players — Caitlyn McFadden Phipps, Andy Ross and Crista Samaras — are among the inductees for the next class of the Chesapeake Chapter of US Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
The Calgary Sun takes a look at the NLL’s new season.
Just a ridiculous combination for the Colorado Mammoth as Dylan Kinnear completes the goal from the behind-the-back-pass from Chris Wardle in Colorado’s win on Friday night. It was the No. 3 play on ESPN’s SportsCenter.
