1. The Duke women’s lacrosse team is 6-0, its best start since 2015.
The seventh-ranked Blue Devils defeated East Carolina 19-9 on Monday — a Kimel family affair. Duke coach Kerstin Kimel’s daughter, Caroline, is ECU’s top scorer. She was held to one goal Monday, with her mother opting to neutralize her with a face guard.

It’s trap-game Tuesday. Among intriguing matchups on the men’s side: Mount St. Mary’s at No. 3 Georgetown, Villanova at Brown, No. 18 Hobart at No. 13 Cornell and No. 12 Duke at High Point. On the women’s side, it’s a top-five showdown in Evanston, where No. 3 Syracuse visits No. 5 Northwestern.
