Kaileen Hart’s player-up goal with 6:42 remaining proved to be the difference as Navy scored the final two goals in a 16-15 Boston College win. Kenzie Kent scored five goals, three in the second half.
North Carolina ended the game on a 5-2 run, but James Madison hung on in a 15-12 win. The eventual NCAA champion Dukes were led by five goals from Haley Warden and three apiece from Hanna Haven and Tewaaraton finalist Kristen Gaudian.
Tied at 13 with 14:47 remaining, Sam Apuzzo scored the game’s final two goals for a 15-13 BC victory. Her tally with 7:26 remaining pushed the lead to two goals, and the defense hung on from there.
