Hadley Laughlin, Noble & Greenough (Mass.)
It was another Independent School League championship for Noble & Greenough and another big performance from Hadley Laughlin. The senior midfielder had one goal, two assists, 10 draw controls, two ground balls, and one caused turnover in the 9-7 victory over top-seeded Thayer Academy (Mass.). The Notre Dame commit helped Nobles capture a fourth straight ISL title and avenge a regular-season defeat to the Govs, their first in ISL play since 2019.

Leah Miller, South Carroll (Md.)
Miller’s 2024 season ended in heartbreaking fashion with a state quarterfinal loss to Fallston (Md.). The Cavaliers’ midfielder was determined not to let her senior year end that way. Facing defending 1A state champion Fallston again in the semifinals this year, Miller did all she could to ensure the season would continue. She keyed the draw control dominance. She won four herself and South Carroll won 13 of 16 in the game. She also had a hat trick while the defense led by freshman goalie Sophia DeLuca subdued the Fallston attack for an 8-4 win.
Miller has been critical to the Cavalier’s state run. She placed draw controls for 14 of 16 wins and scored seven times in a 14-1 victory over Southern-AA (Md.) in the quarterfinals. She already had put up a six-goal, six-draw control performance in a 14-2 win over Liberty (Md.) for the regional crown. Miller will continue her career at Maryland.

Rocklein has been on a roll of late, with a hat trick and five-plus points in three straight games. That streak includes a nine-assist, 12-point performance in a win over Montini Catholic (Ill.) May 9. More recently, the Virginia commit did a little bit of everything in a 16-6 win over Lake Zurich (Ill.), with three goals, two assists, two ground balls and four draw controls. That’s a season-long tale for Rocklein, who leads the 15-3 Scouts in goals (36), assists (42), points (78), draw controls (58), ground balls (36) and caused turnovers (21).
