The NCAA national championships have come and gone, and we've seen five new champions crowned. James Madison rode its "underdog" story all the way to the Division I women's national championship, culminating in a 16-15 win over Boston College to clinch its first championship. A day later, Tewaaraton winner Ben Reeves and the Yale Bulldogs took home their first crown with a victory over Duke. Yale coach Andy Shay and his road to glory is the focus of our cover story.
We devoted 15 pages to the college championships, which saw Merrimack (Division II Men), Wesleyan (Division III Men) and Le Moyne (Division II Women) win their first titles, while Gettysburg (Division III Women) made it two straight.
