SPARKS, Md. – A combination of U.S. team veterans, professional players and recent/current college lacrosse stars make up the 24 players invited to a training camp at USA Lacrosse Headquarters for the U.S. sixes team as USA Lacrosse begins the build-up to the 2028 LA Olympics.
The camp will be held from June 10-12 and will feature a public session on Tuesday, June 11 at 6 pm with no admission charge.
Lindsey Munday, the head coach at USC and a two-time world champion with the U.S. field team, will be making her debut as head coach for the U.S. women’s sixes team. Her assistant coach is Michelle Tumolo, the head coach at Army West Point and a past U.S. champion as well.
Highlighting the list of players coming to the camp are four gold medalists from the 2022 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship – Ally Kennedy, Ally Mastroianni, Marie McCool and Caylee Waters.
Several other players have represented the U.S. in major international championships with Kasey Choma, Madison Doucette and Izzy Scane helping the U.S. to a gold medal at the 2019 U19 world championship and Madison Ahern, Choma, Doucette and Ellie Masera playing on the sixes team at The World Games 2022.

This will be the only training camp for the sixes team before a camp just ahead of the inaugural USA Lacrosse Experience in Indianapolis from Oct. 11-12, 2024. The U.S. sixes team will play against international competition during that event.
The U.S. has only competed in international competition in sixes on three previous occasions. In 2021, USA Lacrosse hosted a three-team Super Sixes event with Canada and the Haudenosaunee. The U.S. and Canada each went 3-1 at the round-robin event. In 2022, Canada defeated the U.S. 14-12 in the gold medal game at The World Games. Last fall, the U.S. beat Canada 8-7 in the championship game of the Super Sixes event in Canada.
The U.S. Women’s National Team trains and plays using game-changing, high-performance equipment from Cascade Maverik, Gait Lacrosse and STX and best-in-class products from Enovis (sports bracing).
In addition to these partners, Gatorade, MedStar Health and Stryker are official sponsors of the U.S. National Team Program. Team training is also aided by products from Athletic Republic.
