World Games Preview: USA Women Look to Reclaim Gold
Lacrosse’s return to the Olympics comes in 2028, but the U.S. women’s sixes team will get an early taste of the Olympic flavor when play begins at The World Games in Chengdu, China later this week. The U.S. team roster was selected following a two-day training camp at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md., in June and the team just completed a three-day training camp in Los Angeles before flying to China. Ten of the 12 players on the roster also helped the U.S. field team win the Pan-American Women's Lacrosse Championship in Auburndale, Fla., earlier this summer.
