Syracuse led from start to finish, closing the first half on a 5-1 run, to beat Virginia 16-11 in a matchup of two Top 5 teams in the Carrier Dome. Emily Hawryschuk led the Orange with four goals and Mary Rahal (2g, 3a) had a five-point afternoon. Maggie Jackson had two goals and four assists for Virginia and Sammy Mueller had a hat trick.
