The Premier Lacrosse League’s third season kicks off Friday evening in Foxborough, Mass., and each of the league’s eight clubs announced their 25-man rosters on social media late Tuesday night.
After inviting a maximum of 30 players to training camp, each club had to whittle its roster down. That’s a practice that was already difficult in the past, but now with the league’s merger with Major League Lacrosse, that activity became even more painstaking. There’s never been more talent in one outdoor professional league, meaning players were cut who still have the talent to make an impact somewhere down the line.
Rosters will likely fluctuate throughout the season as injuries and other team needs force coaches to be creative. But for now, these are the rosters each club will head into opening weekend with.
