USA Lacrosse High School Boys' Players of the Week

The USA Lacrosse Players of the Week recognize the most outstanding individual performances in high school boys’ lacrosse in each of the five regions — Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West — outlined in our high school coverage.

This week, we honor the top performances from the Mid-Atlantic, South and West Regions. Next week, we will add the remaining regions.

MID-ATLANTIC

Colin Burns, Georgetown Prep (Md.)

The junior attackman delivered five goals and five assists for the Hoyas in a pair of tight games. The Princeton commit fed the winning goal in a 4-3 overtime victory against Loyola-Blakefield (Md.), then he provided the helper again on the winning goal in a 10-9 overtime win over Malvern Prep (Pa.) in the IAC vs. Inter-Ac Challenge.

SOUTH

McAllister Hobbs, Dallas Jesuit (Texas)

Penn State recruit McAllister Hobbs had another impressive week, scoring four times against Western (Fla.) and five times in a win against St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.). Hobbs has tallied a hat trick in seven of Dallas Jesuit’s first eight games.

WEST

Logan Ip, Corona del Mar (Calif.)

The senior midfielder scored three goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to lift CdM to a 10-9 win over Colorado powerhouse Regis Jesuit. The victory moved the Sea Kings into the top spot in the West. Ip will play at Harvard next year.
