Defending Division I champion Boston College Club and last year’s Division II runner-up Vermont hold the top spots in this week’s WCLA Division I and Division II rankings, released Wednesday.
This week’s Division I ranking featured significant shuffling, despite the fact that many teams were idle. Among the biggest movers was Michigan Club, which jumped three spots to No. 3, and Virginia Club, which dropped six spots to No. 14. Both teams were among this week’s idle squads.
Newcomers in this week’s Division I ranking include No. 15 North Carolina Club, No. 16 Florida State, No. 17 Florida Atlantic and No. 19 North Carolina State.
In Division II, Vermont claimed the top spot with a 3-0 record to start the season. No. 2 New Hampshire, No. 3 Utah Valley, No. 4 Denver Club and No. 5 Santa Barbara City round out the top five.
