NORTHEAST
Rhett King, Loomis Chaffee (Conn.)
The King made sure Loomis Chaffee was crowned for a third straight season.
Rhett King was sensational in the Founders League championship game, leading Loomis Chaffee to a 10-5 win over Choate (Conn.). The Denver-bound junior netminder made 16 saves (80%) and contributed one caused turnover in the title game win.
“During our stretch drive, and in particular in the Founders League championship game, Rhett’s presence was felt all over the field. He was active on defense, causing turnovers by picking off passes, aggressive on loose ground balls outside of the cage, and was seeing the ball incredibly well,” Loomis Chaffee coach Bill Ball said. “In two games against Choate, he only gave up eight total goals. His energy in cage had us playing our best lacrosse when it mattered most."
Also notable: Josh Berger, Roslyn (N.Y.); Aiden Cromwell, St. Dominic (N.Y.); Brendan Dooley, Lincoln-Sudbury (Mass.); Mikey Hart, Valhalla (N.Y.); Chris Houle, Acton-Boxborough (Mass.); Tim Plunkett, Iona Prep (N.Y.)

MID-ATLANTIC
Thomas Ploszay, Malvern Prep (Pa.)
Ploszay has been a rock in goal all season for Malvern Prep. The senior is the backstop to a defense that allowed just 6.26 goals per game this season. He came up big again for the top-seeded Friars in the PAISAA tournament. In the semifinals, the goalie made 10 saves in a 13-7 win over Hill School (Pa.).
Two days later, faced with the task of trying to defeat a revenge-minded Haverford School (Pa.) for a third time, he delivered a huge performance with 16 saves to anchor an 8-6 win. Ploszay and the Friars allowed double-digit goals only three times this year in a season of consistency. He will continue his career at nearby Villanova.
Also notable: Brad Barber, Springfield-Delco (Pa.); Caden Ditze, Moravian Academy (Pa.); Owen Fehnel, Parkland (Pa.); Aaron Goldstein, Penncrest (Pa.); Harrison Gurwicz, Mainland (N.J.); Kyle Helphenstine, St. Augustine (N.J.); Peter Kessler, Rumson-Fair Haven (N.J.); Tyler Lawhorne, Severna Park (Md.); Danny Lucovich, Malvern Prep (Pa.); Mackey Lynett, Scranton Prep (Pa.); Conor Morsell, Haverford School (Pa.); Finn Petrone, Radnor (Pa.); Jayden Sharper, Urbana (Md.); Brayden Soe, Middletown (Md.); Sebastian Varallo, St. Augustine (N.J.)

SOUTH
Luke Conly, Cardinal Gibbons (N.C.)
Cardinal Gibbons is a game away from repeating as state champ, and the Crusaders have Luke Conly to credit. The sophomore attacker boasted a three-goal, four-assist effort in the semifinal matchup against Ashley. He also had a three-goal, three-assist performance versus Heritage (N.C.). He has 42 goals and 42 assists thus far.
Also notable: Jason Leonard, Charlotte Catholic (N.C.)

MIDWEST
Colin Teeley, Trinity Louisville (Ky.)
It’s no surprise Colin Teeley was named the KHSAA tournament MVP. The senior scored the game-winning goal with a second remaining to lift the Shamrocks to a 9-8 victory over St. Xavier in the state title game. (It should also be noted that Lincoln Gumer set up Teeley’s winning goal, making something out of nothing on a broken play in the final seconds.)
Per reporter Josh Moore of The Courier-Journal, Teeley was an effective force for Trinity all season long, finishing second on the team in assists, third in points per game and fifth in goals.
Also notable: Evan Coulter, Carmel (Ind.); Travis Davidowski, Kettle Moraine (Wis.); Keaton Franzen, St. Viator (Ill.); Ford Lee, Cathedral (Ind.); Jack Noonan, Rosemount (Minn.); Luke Shrift, Carmel (Ind.)

WEST
Brady Meehan, Seattle Prep (Wash.)
Faced with a 13-10 deficit in the fourth quarter of the state championship game against Bellevue (Wash.), the Panthers needed a spark. They got it from Meehan, who scored three straight goals to tie the score and force overtime, where Seattle Prep won, 14-13, for its fourth straight state title.
Meehan, a sophomore attackman, finished the state run with nine goals and eight assists. He had four goals and three assists in their quarterfinal win over Sumner (Wash.) and one goal and five assists in their semifinal win over Glacier Peak (Wash.), but he saved his best performance for the final game and came up clutch down the stretch as the Panthers won their last 11 games of the year.
