NORTHEAST

Conor Sheerin, Manhasset (N.Y.)

Flare for the dramatic? Yeah, Conor Sheerin has that.

The Hamilton commit opened his senior season by scoring the triple-overtime winner to help lift Manhasset to an 8-7 victory over Mamaroneck (N.Y.) Saturday afternoon.

Sheerin, who had a pair of assists as well, took a feed from Tommy Leder, to ensure Nick Armstrong’s first game as head coach ended with a victory.

“Conor is one of the most selfless players we have, so I was thrilled it was him on the receiving end of Leder’s pass to hit the game-winner,” Armstrong said. “He battled all day and wasn’t able to get many shots off up to that point. But give him the ball on the high crease, and he’s usually
pretty lights out from that spot.”

Also notable: Benjamin Hristoforatos, Chaminade (N.Y); Ben Smith, Garden City (N.Y.); Austin Tuttle, Brunswick (Conn.)

MID-ATLANTIC

Chase Houser, Delbarton (N.J.)

Houser knew he’d be a bigger part of the offense this year, and got his senior season off to a fast start. The attackman who’s headed to High Point scored five points in Delbarton’s 13-6 win over Glen Ridge (N.J.). In an even bigger test, Houser led the Green Wave with five goals as they pulled away for a 10-8 win over Haverford School (Pa.). His 10 points leads the team after a week of play. Last year, he posted 32 points on 20 goals and 12 assists.

Also notable: Bennett Cook, Loyola Blakefield (Md.); Gavin Gilmore, Paul VI (Va.); Roman Ippoldo, La Salle (Pa.); Dylan Novak, Malvern (Pa.); Chase Overend, St. Mary’s (Md); Dan Riely, Malvern (Pa.); Parker Smith, Episcopal (Pa.); Jake Sturtevant, Lawrenceville (N.J.)

SOUTH

Harrison Brown, Highland Park (Texas)

With the game on the line against Benjamin (Fla.), Brown dodged several defenders to deliver the overtime dagger to lift Highland Park to victory. Over a seven-game span, the junior midfielder scored seven goals. His coach was mostly impressed by his composure with the ball, as he committed just one turnover despite orchestrating the Fighting Scots’ offense. He is committed to play at Yale.

Also notable: David Druhot, Jupiter (Fla.); Jackson Hardwick, Roswell (Ga.); Stockton Steward, Woodlands (Texas); Nick Testa, St. Andrew’s (Fla.)

— Justin Boggs

MIDWEST

Kyle Jenkins, Hamilton Southeastern (Ind.)

Jenkins’ senior season got off to a frustrating start, as he missed his team’s first six games with an ankle injury. The Quinnipiac commit returned with a vengeance. In his season debut, against East Grand Rapids (Mich.), Jenkins had a hat trick in the first quarter alone. He also scored the game-winning goal in overtime, marking his sixth goal of the game. He added four goals the next day in a close loss to Forest Hills Central (Mich.).

Also notable: Max Aho, Blue Valley Southwest (Kan.); Will Bates, Carmel (Ind.); Darcy Muegge, Western Reserve (Ohio); Brady Salach, Brother Rice (Mich.); Max Violet, St. Xavier (Ohio)

WEST

Andrew Goldman, Loyola-Los Angeles (Calif.)

One of the most reliable faceoff specialists in the West, Goldman showcased elite consistency, technique and toughness throughout the week. His ability to win draws cleanly, battle for ground balls and contribute in transition gave Loyola a clear edge in possession and momentum. With performances like this against top-level competition, Goldman proved to be a true difference-maker and a key catalyst in Loyola jumping to the top of the regional rankings.

Goldman was a dominant force at the faceoffs across three key matchups. The junior faceoff specialist went 15-for-18 (83%) with 15 ground balls and an assist against Marin Catholic (Calif.), followed by an even more impressive 16-for-17 (94%) performance with 10 ground balls against Cherry Creek (Colo.). He capped the stretch by winning 11 of 16 faceoffs (69%) with seven ground balls and another assist against Bishop Moore Catholic (Calif.)

Also notable: Wyatt Branish, Cherry Creek (Colo.); Win Chandler, Seattle Prep (Wash.); Finn Gest, Brophy (Ariz.); Ian Stefonowicz, Valor (Colo.)
