NORTHEAST

Kip Zacharia, Manhasset (N.Y.)

Kip Zacharia is the eraser who helped write Manhasset’s spot in school history.

The senior defender had his usual assignment in the New York State Class B championship game — covering the opponent’s top offensive threat, namely Victor (N.Y.) standout Jackson Mead, who combined for nine goals and four assists in his last two games.

Zacharia limited the High Point commit to one goal as Manhasset defeated the Blue Devils 10-7 to win the seventh state championship in school history and the first in Class B since 1995.

Zacharia, a Lehigh commit, also had seven groundballs and one caused turnover in the state final.

“Kip has covered the opponent’s top offensive threat all season,” first-year Manhasset coach Nick Armstrong said. “He’s exploded in terms of being able to neutralize those players throughout our state championship run.”

Also notable: Charlie Brady, Rye (N.Y.); Jackson Ketchen, BC High (Mass.); Owen Perkins, Pinkerton Academy (N.H.); Wes Scallen, Darien (Conn.); Rocco Spallina, Massapequa (N.Y.); Roy Testa, Cold Spring Harbor (N.Y.)

MID-ATLANTIC

Robbie Kievit, Summit (N.J.)

The backbone of a vaunted defense, Kievit has been great all season, and all career, and was particularly impressive in the state tournament. First, in a semifinal matchup that felt like a title game, he made six of his nine saves in the second half as Summit rallied to top Chatham (N.J.) 8-6 in the North Jersey Group 3 final. The Hilltoppers’ defense held Chatham scoreless for nearly 18 minutes while closing the game on a 6-0 run. Then, in the Group 3 state championship, Kievit made eight saves, several of the most difficult of them early in the game, to help Summit hold Shawnee (N.J.) more than 12 goals below its average in a 9-3 win for its fourth straight state title. Kievit, a Fairfield commit, has been in goal for all four state runs.

Also notable: Bailey Austin, Mountain Lakes (N.J.); Holden Gillespie, Mountain Lakes (N.J.); Ryan Inzerillo, Ridgewood (N.J.); A.J. LoSauro, Ridgewood (N.J.); Dylan Malone, La Salle (Pa.); Johnny Palmer, Sparta (N.J.); Kane Quenault, Delbarton (N.J.); Jace Stiansen, Sparta (N.J.); Will Trymbiski, La Salle (Pa.); Grant Weaver, Mars (Pa.); Josh Wilburn, Mars (Pa.)

MIDWEST

Brooks Furney, Farmington (Minn.)

A hat trick only begins to describe Brooks Furney’s state title game. Two of his goals came in the decisive fourth quarter, in which the Tigers overcame an 8-6 deficit by outscoring Stillwater (Minn.) 4-1. His last goal was the game-winner with three seconds remaining. All of which helped propel Farmington to the first state title in program history. The North Greenville commit finished his season with 48 goals and 29 assists, one of three Tigers players to top 75 points alongside Caden Hennes (52 goals, 54 assists) and Parker Nivala (54 goals, 36 assists).

Also notable: Keiran Jones, Stillwater (Minn.); Parker Nivala, Farmington (Minn.); Brady Schneider, Stillwater (Minn.); AJ Vinar, Farmington (Minn.)
