National Team Jerseys Commemorate 100 Years of Women's Lacrosse in the United States

USA Lacrosse unveiled Friday the Capelli Sport uniforms the U.S. Women's National Team players will wear during the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship in Tokyo.

The jersey design includes a fingerprint thematic commemorating 100 years of women's lacrosse in the United States, the legacy left by previous generations and the story still being written.

We asked some members of the team about the mark they want to leave on this team and this game.

Here's what they had to say.

"With 100 years of women’s lacrosse behind us, competing in a world championship feels like stepping into history. In a few months, I’ll graduate from West Point and commission into the Army. I hope to bring the leadership principles I’ve learned there to this team. Lacrosse and the Army are different, but the standard is similar: Prepare with purpose, lead with integrity and take care of the people beside you."

It’s about representing my country, my teammates and everyone who supported me along the way, and carrying forward the legacy built by those who wore this jersey before me. "Our team is full of people from different backgrounds. That is very important for the future of our sport. Fans should feel that there is someone on the team who represents them as an individual and player. I want fans and young girls to say, "Wow, those girls were just like me.” I’ve always taken pride in doing the dirty work on the field. It’s not always the most noticeable or reflected in the stat sheet, but it’s a big part of what defines me as a player. I focus on the hustle plays, the extra effort, the small details and the moments that can shift momentum. I want to leave a lasting impression on young players by showing them that winning championships requires more than just goals and assists. Every successful team needs players who embrace the unseen work and give maximum effort in every moment."
