USA Lacrosse Names Roster for PALA Women's Championship
SPARKS, Md. — Head coach Acacia Walker-Weinstein and her staff have selected the 22 players that will represent the United States in the Pan-American Lacrosse Association (PALA) Women’s Championship later this month in Auburndale, Fla.
“I'm thrilled about the girls that we have selected,” said Walker-Weinstein. “I think the coaches are really aligned and passionate. I will say it was really difficult having to trim it down to 22 for PALA, because I think there are a lot of players right on the cusp that are as dangerous as the girls on the roster. But you know, that's the nature of this. I'm really excited about this group of girls and I'm really proud of how hard they have worked consistently over our U.S. training weekends.”
The roster contains a solid blend of players with national team experience and players making their international championship debuts. Headlining the roster are six members of the 2022 U.S. team that captured the World Lacrosse Women’s Championship gold medal – Sam Apuzzo, Ally Kennedy, Ally Mastroianni, Marie McCool (also a 2017 world champion), Charlotte North and Caylee Waters.
Five others have also won U19/20 world championships with the U.S. program – Shea Baker (2024), Emma LoPinto (2024), Emma Muchnick (2024), Izzy Scane (2019) and Madison Taylor (2024).
The other 11 players will be playing in an international championship event for the first time with the U.S. senior team program, including 2025 Tewaaraton winner Chloe Humphrey and Kenzie Kent, a member of the 2022 U.S. women’s training team.
This marks the first time any of the U.S. national teams will participate in a PALA continental qualifier. The eight-team championship features Argentina, Canada, Haudenosaunee, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico and the United States at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex from June 26-30. The top four finishers will earn spots in the Division I bracket of the 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship in Japan with the next three finishers qualifying for the Division II bracket.
The U.S. has won the last four World Lacrosse Women’s Championships, bringing home the title in 2009, 2013, 2017 and 2022. The complete roster follows:
