Army's 2024 season included a dramatic overtime win against Massachusetts in Atlanta, and the Black Knights will be returning to Georgia for the 2026 Atlanta Lacrosse Invitational, which announced its lineup today.

Last year's event — highlighted by Maryland's 11-10 victory over Notre Dame — was played at Georgia Tech's Bobby Dodd Stadium. The event returns to its 2024 venue, Silverbacks Park, for the 2026 edition and includes an enticing triple header of NCAA Division I games:

  • 12 pm: Army vs. Michigan (men)
  • 3 pm: Boston College vs. Michigan (women)
  • 6 pm: Army vs. Florida State (women)

Army and Michigan's men have met just once before, a 12-1 Army win during Michigan's second varsity season in 2013. Army has combined for 23 wins over the last two seasons, narrowly missing the NCAA tournament both years. Michigan won the Big Ten in 2023 and 2024, and reached the NCAA quarterfinals in 2023.

Boston College and Michigan's women have also met just one before, a 14-9 Boston College win over Michigan in the NCAA quarterfinals during its most recent national championship run. BC head coach, Acacia Walker-Weinstein, doubles as the U.S. Women's National Team head coach and played against Michigan head coach Hannah Nielsen (Australia) during the 2009 World Cup in the Czech Republic. Walker-Weinstein will lead the U.S. women's team in the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship in Japan next summer with Nielsen likely competing as a player for the Aussies.

Florida State will be playing its first varsity season in 2026 and Army will be a tall order for the Seminoles. Army has reached the NCAA tournament in two of the last three years, including last season.
