Dominance of Army Leads Boston U Back into USA Lacrosse Top 20
It seems we've reached the point in the season where there is a fair bit of stability toward the top of the USA Lacrosse Division I Men's Top 20, presented by CWENCH Hydration.
Nos. 1-8 are team that seemed to be firmly established — headlined by a group of four teams at the top with a combined 24-1 record.
After that, though, things are ever-changing.
Perhaps the most notable part of this week's Top 20 update is the inclusion of Boston U at No. 16. The Terriers continued their remarkable dominance of Army in a 10-8 win on Saturday in which Timothy Shannehan had three goals and one assist and Connor Phillips made eight saves.

USA LACROSSE DIVISION II
MEN’S TOP 20
The teams atop the Division II Top 20 continue to take care of business. Just below that first tier, chaos reigns.
The teams ranked Nos. 7, 10, 11, 12 and 15 all took losses this week. Notably, Frostburg handed out a pair of them by defeating Mercy and Bentley. Rollins notched an impressive overtime win over Lewis, pushing into the Top 20 and again proving the Sunshine State Conference is stacked top to bottom.
In the NE-10, Adelphi and Saint Anselm remain undefeated, and both play a similar slate before they square off April 4. The other powerhouse conference, the SAC, has an unexpected leader in undefeated Anderson, which sits atop the conference standing at 7-0. A showdown between the Trojans and other SAC power Wingate headlines next weekend’s action.

MEN’S TOP 20
The Callum Robinson Mustang Classic was the headline event of the weekend, and it started in style. Lynchburg and Christopher Newport played an instant classic, with the Hornets knocking off the Captains 22-21.
In the fourth quarter alone, the score was tied at 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 before Riley Hastings hit the winner with 31 seconds to go. This result proved to be a tone setter. The tone was mayhem.
Tufts managed to make it through the event unscathed, defeating Denison and Christopher Newport in the process. Bowdoin ascended to the No. 2 spot following impressive wins over Endicott and Williams. Salisbury took care of business against a frisky Ohio Northern team. That rounds out the top three.
Not even whatever ancient mathematician came up with the transitive property could make sense of these results. Lynchburg beat Christopher Newport, but then it lost to Gettysburg, which lost to RIT, which beat Washington and Lee.
The Division III Top 20 remains a house of cards, blown over by gusts of wild weekend results, then stood back up to do it all again next week.
