Onondaga, which entered the spring unranked, is now No. 3 in the NJCAA men’s top five ranking. Onondaga had risen to No. 3 last week.
Onondaga started the season 1-2 but took No. 2 Harford to overtime, which turned out to be the start of a positive string of play. The Lazers recovered from the 15-14 loss to beat Howard 21-11 and CCBC Essex 8-6.
Following up on its preseason No. 1 billing, Nassau has yet to disappoint. The Lions are still firmly affixed atop the poll after its second in-season update.
