JT Cross, named the No. 1 junior in the Class of 2027 by longtime recruiting insider Ty Xanders of Prep Lacrosse, has committed to Notre Dame.

His father, Ray, also played lacrosse for the Irish.

A 6-3, 180-pound attackman, Cross split time with the Colorado Kings and Mad Dog on the club circuit over the summer. He's coming off a 53-goal, 32-assist sophomore high school campaign at Valor Christian (Colo.) that ended with first-team all-state and USA Lacrosse All-American recognition.

Xanders characterized Cross as "a wildly dynamic and athletic presence."

Cross is now the fourth five-star recruit in the 2027 class, based on Inside Lacrosse rankings, to choose Notre Dame.

Cross joins attackman Conor Morsell from The Haverford School (Pa.), defenseman Leif Anderson from Deerfield Academy (Mass.) and attackman Nick Lagunowich from Chatham (N.J.) High School as the next highly touted Irish recruits.
