USA Lacrosse Announces 2026 Division I Men's Preseason All-Americans
On Tuesday, the USA Lacrosse Division I Men’s 2026 Preseason All-Americans were announced, honoring 84 players from 31 institutions.
Preseason No. 1 Maryland and preseason No. 3 Princeton pace the nation with seven All-Americans each — though the Terps boast two first-team All-Americans in short-stick defensive midfielder Eric Kolar and defenseman Will Schaller.
Coming in with six All-Americans is Syracuse, an NCAA semifinalist in 2025 that checks in at No. 2 in the preseason ranks. Led by Tewaaraton Award candidate Joey Spallina, the Orange return a potent core.
Four teams share the spotlight with five All-Americans apiece — Georgetown, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Richmond. The Irish and the Buckeyes both received two first team nods, with long-stick midfielder Will Donovan and defenseman Shawn Lyght representing Notre Dame and defenseman Bobby Van Buren and goalie Caleb Fyock representing Ohio State.
Preseason All-Americans are selected by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors with input from collegiate coaches.
