USA Lacrosse WCLA National Championship Moving to Florida in 2026
SPARKS, Md. — The USA Lacrosse Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse Associates (WCLA) national championship event is moving to Naples, Fla., in 2026, with all games to be played at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex. Dates for the 2026 championship tournament are May 11-16.
This marks the first time in the 25-year history of the WCLA event that the championship tournament will be hosted in Florida.
The Paradise Coast Sports Complex is a state-of-the-art facility that features nine rectangular artificial turf fields, including a 3,500-seat stadium that is home to FC Naples, a professional soccer team. Each field includes shaded spectator seating, team benches, Musco LED lighting, and scoreboards.
The stadium also offers locker rooms, concession stands, a 40-foot video screen scoreboard, a high-quality sound system, air-conditioned suites, and two outdoor party decks.
“We selected Paradise Coast because it gives our WCLA teams the right mix of accessibility, high-quality playing surfaces, and an overall experience that supports great competition," said Kristy Nutt, director of events at USA Lacrosse. “It’s a place where athletes, families, and coaches can focus on the game while also enjoying what the surrounding area has to offer."
Nearly 150 non-varsity collegiate teams comprise the WCLA and compete under the USA Lacrosse umbrella. The annual Division I and Division II National Championships showcase the WCLA’s premier teams, featuring 16 Division I clubs and 12 Division II teams vying for titles.
“We’re incredibly excited to be hosting the WCLA National Championships hosted by USA Lacrosse and to welcome athletes, families, and fans to the Paradise Coast," said Adrian Moses, general manager of the Paradise Coast Sports Complex. "They can look forward to our world class hospitality, facilities, and beaches. We look forward to adding another prestigious lacrosse event to our schedule, and our continued commitment to the growth and development of the sport.”
Last year in Wichita, Boston College claimed the Division I title for the third time in four years, while CSU San Marcos won its first Division II championship.
“The great level of competition at the WCLA National Championship truly demonstrates the commitment of these collegiate athletes and their enthusiasm for lacrosse,” said Caitlin Kelley, senior director for sports administration at USA Lacrosse. "We are excited to highlight these outstanding athletes as members of our USA Lacrosse community in a showcase event that reflects their skill and dedication to the game."
