Historic Wins Change USA Lacrosse High School Girls' Regional Rankings
Phillips Andover (Mass.) captured a huge win for the program, Episcopal Dallas (Texas) knocked off a Texas staple and Academy of Notre Dame (Pa.) swept a regional pair to affect this week's USA Lacrosse Regional Top 10 rankings, presented by CWENCH Hydration.
Andover finally solved Noble & Greenough (Mass.) to take a one-goal win, its first over the New England Prep power in 20 years.
Episcopal Dallas, best known as the school that produced Charlotte North, defeated Hockaday (Texas) for the first time since 2019. It was Hockaday's first in-state loss since 2021.
Suffern (N.Y.) is the lone new team to the Northeast Top 10. No. 1 St. Anthony's (N.Y.) and No. 2 Darien (Conn.) play each other this week.
The Mid-Atlantic order was reshuffled by Notre Dame (Pa.) pinning losses on McDonogh (Md.) and Georgetown Visitation (D.C.). Meanwhile, unbeaten St. Stephen's & St. Agnes (Va.) is building momentum as it returns to full strength.
In the Midwest, the biggest change is the addition of New Albany (Ohio). The Eagles earned their way in with a head-to-head win over Hinsdale Central (Ill.).
Santa Margarita (Calif.) and Fairview (Colo.) debut in the West Top 10. The Eagles have a win over Mira Costa (Calif.) and just one loss on the season. They'll be tested this week against La Costa Canyon (Calif.). Fairview also has just one loss and it's out of region. The Knights have been dominant in Colorado.

Mid-Atlantic Top 10

Midwest Top 10
New Albany (Ohio) debuts in the Top 10 this week after winning against Hinsdale Central (Ill.). New Albany took on a ranked St. Francis DeSales (Ohio) earlier in the season but came out on the losing side. This time, their contest against a ranked foe went their way.
Upper Arlington (Ohio) cemented its No. 2 spot by handing St. Francis DeSales its first loss of the season in the best in-region matchup of the week. Upper Arlington rode a strong first half to the win.
No. 1 New Trier (Ill.) and No. 3 Loyola Academy (Ill.) will be testing themselves this week. They'll go out of region with New Trier heading west and Loyola going east. Both stand to gain with victories or good showings. Olentangy Liberty (Ohio) puts its unbeaten mark up against a pair of perfect Pennsylvania teams in more quality scheduling.
Our Midwest rankings cover Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin.
1. New Trier (Ill.), 1-0
Off since March 18, the Trevians return to game action against nearby Glenbrook South (April 7) followed by a weekend trip to California. New Trier will be plenty busy in the Golden State with three games in two days — against Coronado, Torrey Pines and La Costa Canyon — with the Islanders and Mavericks among California’s top teams. Previous: 1
2. Upper Arlington (Ohio), 5-1
The Golden Bears picked up two quality wins, topping Division II state champion St. Francis DeSales by two and Land of Lincoln power Hinsdale Central by four. Seniors Evie Ruma and Berkeley Thomas had hat tricks against the Red Devils while fellow seniors Ellie King and Ella Smith joined Ruma in tallying hat tricks against the Stallions. Previous: 2

Previous: 3
4. Olentangy Liberty (Ohio), 3-0
The Patriots also return from a week off with a challenge as they face a fellow 3-0 squad in Dublin Coffman (Ohio) April 7. A Keystone State trip follows as Liberty ventures to Pine-Richland Friday and Mars Area Saturday — both of which are 5-0. Previous: 4
5. St. Francis DeSales (Ohio), 4-1
Down 8-4 at the half to Division I power Upper Arlington, the Stallions kept fighting, ultimately falling by two. DeSales has already put together a strong resume, including high-caliber wins over longtime powers New Albany (Ohio) and Guerin Catholic (Ind.). Previous: 5
6. Guerin Catholic (Ind.), 2-1
The Golden Eagles will have gone nearly three weeks without a game when they host Roncalli (Ind.) April 7. Once back, Guerin Catholic will be plenty busy with a three-game week that includes two more in-state foes in Cathedral and Penn. Previous: 7
7. Prior Lake (Minn.), 0-0
It’s been a long wait, but lacrosse season in Minnesota is finally here. It begins with a doozy as the Lakers host Stillwater Saturday in a rematch of last year’s state title game. Another Land of 10,000 Lakes power lurks three days later when Edina visits Prior Lake. Previous: 8

9. Hinsdale Central (Ill.), 5-2
The Red Devils tested themselves with three games in two days against some of the best Ohio has to offer, going 1-2 against New Albany, Thomas Worthington and Upper Arlington. A three-goal win over the Cardinals marked a great start to their Buckeye State trip while a four-goal loss to the Golden Bears was more than respectable. Previous: 6
10. Detroit Country Day (Mich.), 2-0
After more than a week off, the Yellowjackets return with a couple of tough in-state opponents in University Liggett (April 6) and Hartland (April 8). The latter was the Division I state runner-up a year ago. Previous: 9

West Top 10
The West Region welcomed Santa Margarita (Calif.) and Fairview (Colo.) to the rankings. Santa Margarita only loss came against Coronado (Calif.), and they've looked impressive otherwise. Fairview can make a similar case. They've lost just once out of region and otherwise been rolling through their in-state schedule handily.
Santa Margarita could move up higher if they find a way to knock off No. 3 La Costa Canyon (Calif.). Coronado will face Midwest Region No. 1 New Trier (Ill.) this week.
Our West rankings cover the Mountain, Pacific and Northwest regions and at least part of the Southwest.
1. Sacred Heart Prep (Calif.), 9-0
After taking over the top spot with that one-goal win over Valor Christian (Colo.) last week, Sacred Heart Prep followed it up with a strong 15-8 win over Colorado Academy (Colo.). That Colorado trip now looks even more impressive. They’ve shown they can handle pressure and close out games, and right now they look like the most complete team in the region. Previous: 1
2. Valor Christian (Colo.), 5-2
Valor drops but still looks like one of the top teams in the West. The loss to Sacred Heart Prep (Calif.) was tight, and they responded with commanding wins over Poudre District (Colo.) and Kent Denver (Colo.). They still have one of the strongest résumés in the region. Previous: 2
3. La Costa Canyon (Calif.), 7-1
La Costa Canyon continues to stack results, even with the loss to Agnes Irwin (Pa.). That came after a strong run through Foothill (Calif.), Mira Costa (Calif.), and Redwood (Calif.). They responded this week with a convincing win over Galena (Nev.) and remain firmly in the top tier. Previous: 3
4. St. Ignatius (Calif.), 10-1
St. Ignatius continues to build momentum. After showing consistency against most of their schedule, they added a solid 14-8 win over Foothill-Santa Ana (Calif.). They are starting to look more complete each week. Previous: 4
5. Coronado (Calif.), 6-3
No games this week, so Coronado stays in place. They’ve shown they can compete with strong out-of-region teams like Agnes Irwin (Pa.), but are still looking for a defining win to move up. Previous: 5
6. Redwood (Calif.), 9-3
Redwood moves up and still feels like a team right on the edge. Their losses have come against strong competition and have been close, which keeps them in this range. The upcoming game against Marin Catholic (Calif.) should help clarify things. Previous: 9
7. Santa Margarita (Calif.), 10-1
Santa Margarita enters after strong wins over Redondo Union (Calif.) and Mira Costa (Calif.), both of which carry weight. The earlier loss to Coronado (Calif.) still matters, but this is a team that has clearly earned a spot. Previous: NR
8. Mira Costa (Calif.), 10-3
Mira Costa becomes one of the tougher teams to place. They still have strong wins, including La Costa Canyon (Calif.) and Marlborough (Calif.), but the recent loss to Redondo Union (Calif.) creates some separation from the top tier. Previous: 6
9. Marlborough (Calif.), 14-1
Marlborough continues to win, and the record stands out. The question remains strength of schedule. The upcoming matchup with Coronado (Calif.) should give a clearer answer. Previous: 7
10. Fairview (Colo.), 5-1
Fairview enters with a strong record, with their only loss coming against a top team from Florida. They’ve handled the rest of their schedule well. The matchup with Valor Christian (Colo.) will be a major test. Previous: NR
