Lake Highland Prep Repeats as Florida Champ, No. 1 in South
There's a new No. 1 in the South Region after Lake Highland (Fla.) got a hat trick from Giselle Jaskiewicz to edge previous No. 1 American Heritage-Delray (Fla.) for the state championship. It's the second straight season that the Highlanders have pulled off the title game takedown over AHD (both by 6-5 scores) and it allowed them to jump to the apex in the USA Lacrosse High School Girls' Regional Top 10 rankings, presented by CWENCH Hydration.
Two other teams also debuted in their regions. York (Ill.) has lost just once all season and an accumulation of quality wins earned it the final spot in the Midwest Region. Regis Jesuit (Colo.) similarly has come on strong down the stretch to take the last spot in the West Region as they head into the playoffs as a No. 2 seed.
In the Mid-Atlantic Top 10, Maryvale (Md.) and St. Stephen's & St. Agnes (Va.) picked up conference titles while Good Counsel (Md.) was perched to win another. The only change in the rankings came from a head-to-head match in which Academy of Notre Dame (Pa.) avenged a loss to Agnes Irwin (Pa.) ahead of their state tournament.
In the Northeast Top 10, Darien (Conn.) kept its perfect record despite stiff competition, West Islip (N.Y.) survived a close call and St. Anthony's (N.Y.) tries to close its season with a NSCHSAA championship.
Below you'll find this week's USA Lacrosse High School Girls' Regional Top 10 updates for the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West regions, complete with recaps of the teams' recent and upcoming games.
Compiled by USA Lacrosse writers with input from coaches around the country, rankings and records reflect results as of previous Sunday.

Mid-Atlantic Top 10
Maryvale (Md.) repeated as IAAM A Conference champions, and this year was arguably even more impressive than a year ago. For one, though the Lions’ internal message was to hunt another title, the rest of the most highly regarded league in the country was taking its best shot at Maryvale every game. The championship game was a 10-5 win over eighth-ranked McDonogh (Md.), only the second time all season that an IAAM opponent stayed within a five-goal margin.
Penn Charter (Pa.) added another solid win, holding off an Archbishop Carroll (Pa.) that has been knocking on the regional rankings door.
Another Inter-AC League team, Academy of Notre Dame (Pa.), avenged one of its losses with a solid conference win on the road at Agnes Irwin (Pa.) to switch spots with the Owls as the regular season wraps up. The four Inter-Ac schools are the top four teams for the upcoming PAISAA Tournament.
St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.) also took a measure of revenge. The Saints defeated Stone Ridge (Md.) for the ISL AA championship only two weeks after they had lost to them. SSSAS lost only once all year despite not having Emily Alpenstein on the field all season due to injury. The Michigan-bound senior defender provided leadership from the sidelines all year.
More titles could be on the way. Good Counsel (Md.) was to play for its fifth straight WCAC championship Monday in a game after deadline. Maryland public schools, like 2A regional top seed Manchester Valley (Md.) have begun their playoffs.
Pennsylvania’s playoffs are beginning this week and New Jersey’s are still a couple weeks away.
Our Mid-Atlantic rankings cover D.C., Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.
