Three Unbeatens New to USA Lacrosse High School Girls' National Top 25
After a topsy-turvy full first week of national play, it was relatively calm this week with just three newcomers and few changes to the USA Lacrosse High School Girls' National Top 25, presented by CWENCH Hydration.
Manhasset (N.Y.), Sacred Heart Prep (Calif.) and Severna Park (Md.) all debut in this week's rankings. Manhasset won convincingly in back-to-back games, Sacred Heart won a showdown against previously ranked Valor Christian (Colo.) to stay unbeaten and Severna Park has bolted out to a 3-0 start.
A top-five matchup went to Maryvale (Md.), which stayed unbeaten by pulling away from McDonogh (Md.) for a significant win. Sayville (N.Y.) and Conestoga (Pa.) remained unbeaten in the top 10. Penn Charter (Pa.) won a top-25 matchup over Sacred Heart Greenwich (Conn.) in another quality pairing.
While many of the regions are just beginning to ramp up and Darien (Conn.) and Penfield (N.Y.) have yet to play a game, some in the South Region are already winding down. American Heritage-Delray (Fla.) will play its final regular season game this week.
