AUBURNDALE, Fla. – The United States advanced to the championship game of the 2025 Pan-American Women’s Lacrosse Championship, pulling away from the Haudenosaunee 18-8 in a semifinal on Sunday morning at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex.

The United States will meet rival Canada in the championship game on Monday at 1 p.m. (note time change) with live streaming on World Lacrosse TV.

The Haudenosaunee gave the United States everything it could handle through three quarters with the U.S. holding on to just a 10-7 lead through the first 45 minutes. With former Syracuse star Sierra Cockerville on the draw, the Haudenosaunee battled even, with each team gathering 10 draws through the first three quarters. Haudenosaunee goalie Paige Crandall was also stellar making 11 of her 14 saves in the first three quarters.

The United States finally broke things opening by dominating the draw in the fourth quarter. The U.S. scored eight straight goals to open the quarter, winning six consecutive draws and getting two possessions without a draw following a pair of Haudenosunee yellow cards.

Emma LoPinto and Izzy Scane did much of the offensive damage in the final quarter. LoPinto scored four of her game-high five goals in the final 15 minutes, including a stretch of three goals in a span of just over 90 seconds late in the quarter. Scane had all four of her points – three goals and an assist – in the fourth quarter.

The U.S. offense also got two goals each from Sam Apuzzo, Rachel Clark, Ally Kennedy and Emma Muchnick. Thanks to the fourth quarter surge, the U.S. won the draw battle 16-12 with Ally Mastroianni leading the team with four.

Shea Dolce played the first half in goal for the U.S. and made three saves to earn the victory, while Caylee Waters made three saves in the second half to close things out.

Avery Doran led the Haudenosaunee offense with three goals and an assist and Cockerville had two assists.
