A déjà vu moment went Tampa’s way in the Division II NCAA championship game, with the Spartans flipping the script on Adelphi by winning a title in overtime.

Florida Southern captured its second NCAA title and first since 2016.

Thursday’s semifinal winners meet in Saturday’s national championship game at 5 p.m.

It’s a rematch. Adelphi versus Tampa, once again, in the NCAA Division II final.

A year after playing one of the most thrilling NCAA Division II men’s championship games in history, 2025 champion Adelphi and 2025 runner-up Tampa will meet again for the 2026 crown.

The teams will be reseeded by the NCAA to determine the matchups for Thursday’s semifinal games.

And just like that, just four teams remain in Division II men’s lacrosse.

Of all the NE-10 powerhouses, it's Saint Michael's that has surprising title hopes.

The collision course in Division II looks to be set. 

On paper, maybe Saint Michael's shouldn't have won Sunday — but the Purple Knights are advancing.
