There are a pair of juicy semifinal matchups on deck.

Top-seeded Cornell has looked close to unstoppable, but its semifinal opponent on Saturday at Gillette Stadium is fifth-seeded Penn State — aka the only team to beat the Big Red in 2025.

The other semifinal pits the unflappable Maryland defense against a Syracuse offense that only builds as the game goes on.

Here are the scores, standout performances and must-see moments from the NCAA Division I women's lacrosse semifinals, with full stories coming in the hours following each game.

(1) Cornell vs. (5) Penn State

📜 Previous History: Cornell has just one loss on its ledger — a 13-12 overtime setback against Penn State on March 8. Much has changed since then for both programs. The Nittany Lions have hit another gear and are riding the high of their historic quarterfinal comeback against Notre Dame. Cornell, meanwhile, has asserted itself as the clear No. 1 team in the country after rebounding to win the last 12 games. The Big Red have lost the last three head-to-head matchups with Penn State and are 23-25 against the Nittany Lions all time.

✅ Final: (1) Cornell def. (5) Penn State 11-9

🔥 Top Performer: Hugh Kelleher, Cornell — A three-goal, one-assist outing when CJ Kirst was held without a single point helped the Cornell offense figure things out in the second half.

💥 Key Moment: Cornell entered play 3-0 this season when trailing at halftime. Make it 4-0. A 5-0 run featuring five scorers that began when Hugh Kelleher tied things at 6 with 8:48 left in the third quarter didn't give Penn State enough time to make a second-straight remarkable comeback.

(2) Maryland vs. (6) Syracuse

📺 Watch: 2:30 p.m. Eastern on ESPN2

📜 Previous History: Maryland has won its last seven matchups against Syracuse, including an 11-7 result on Feb. 15. Each of the last four matchups were relatively close, though, with each being decided by four goals or fewer. These programs met in one national championship game (1995), a 13-9 Syracuse win.
