Fairfield long stick midfielder Julian Radossich is the USA Lacrosse Division I Men's Player of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday.
The 6-4 sophomore from Ridgewood, N.J., set a program record in a season-opening 10-7 win over Lehigh, causing seven turnovers. He also picked up a ground ball against Lehigh, which entered the season ranked 20th in the USA Lacrosse Preseason Top 20.
Radossich was a force as a freshman in 2024, notching two goals and two assists while disrupting things on the defensive end. He totaled 40 ground balls and 27 caused turnovers for a Fairfield team that finished 8-7 and took Delaware to overtime in the CAA tournament.
Continue on to learn about the Division II and III players of the week.
Michael Flores, FO, Tampa
The Spartan faceoff ace had a stellar season debut at the X against Flagler, going 15-for-18 (83 percent) with 10 ground balls and an assist in Tampa’s 16-8 doubling up of the Saints.
A graduate student, Flores transferred to Tampa from Saint Leo over the summer. The Montverde Academy (Fla.) product was a 2024 USA Lacrosse honorable mention All-American after winning 67.3 percent (233-for-346) of his faceoffs.
Kevin Miller, A, Christopher Newport
It was a very lopsided 24-8 win for the Captains over Hampden-Sydney, but the sophomore attackman announced himself to the world with 13 points (5G, 8A).
In 20 games (11 starts) last year, Miller produced 50 points (28G, 22A). With that kind of freshman season and this kind of start to 2025, it does not look like there will be a sophomore slump for Miller.
