Brunswick, Lawrenceville Assume No. 1 Spots in USA Lacrosse Regional Rankings
Culver Academy (Ind.) upheld its top billing in the Midwest region by winning an in-region showdown with Western Reserve Academy (Ohio).
The same could not be said in the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic, where losses by the top-ranked teams allowed a pair of new No. 1 teams in the latest USA Lacrosse High School Boys' Regional Top 10 rankings, presented by CWENCH Hydration.
Loomis Chaffee (Conn.) lost for the first time this season. Avon Old Farms (Conn.) followed up a big win over Choate with an even bigger win over Loomis. That win enabled the hottest team of late, Brunswick (Conn.), to rise to No. 1 in the Northeast. The series of events pushed Avon Old Farms into the rankings for the first time and unbeaten Iona Prep (N.Y.) also joined the region's best.
The Mid-Atlantic Region saw an even bigger twist as the reigning No. 1 team, Episcopal (Pa.), fell at the hands of Malvern Prep (Pa.), which then fell to St. Anthony's (N.Y.). It was Lawrenceville (N.J.) who had a perfect week and already owns a win over Malvern to enable the Big Red to ascend to the top of the region. Also new in the Mid-Atlantic is Summit (N.J.), an unbeaten team with the potential to knock off anyone.
Compiled by USA Lacrosse writers with input from coaches around the country, rankings and records reflect results as of previous Sunday.
NORTHEAST Top 10
Loomis Chaffee (Conn.) had held the top perch in the Northeast region over the weeks, but their loss to Avon Old Farms (Conn.) enabled red-hot Brunswick (Conn.) to take the top spot. Avon Old Farms also defeated another team that was new to the rankings, Choate (Conn.). While Brunswick had some bumps in the road early in the season they have hit their stride.
Avon also wasn't happy with their opening game loss, but since then they have been unbeaten. Each win has been more impressive than the previous.
The other new team in the Northeast is Iona Prep (N.Y.). The Gaels have quality wins, and they get a strong challenge to start the week with rankings regular St. Anthony's (N.Y.) on tap. Also must-see is the annual "Reg's Rock" game between Chaminade (N.Y.) and Manhasset (N.Y.) to close this week.

Mid-Atlantic Top 10
There had been little to separate the top of the Mid-Atlantic region. The top teams seemingly either all won or all lost together. Then last week Lawrenceville (N.J.) enjoyed a perfect week while previous No. 1 Episcopal (Pa.) lost to Malvern Prep (Pa.) and Malvern lost to St. Anthony's (N.Y.).

SOUTH Top 10
Florida teams are in the midst of playoffs and Texas is in the middle of some great matchups. Most of the ranked South teams had perfect weeks, but Episcopal Dallas (Texas) made sure that The Woodlands (Texas) did not in a key in-state contest. Now they'll take on the region's top-ranked team, Highland Park (Texas), in a game that feels like a title match.
St. Andrew's (Fla.), Ponte Vedra (Fla.), Jupiter (Fla.), St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) and Benjamin (Fla.) made it a clean sweep of the district titles by ranked South teams. They move into regional play now as they begin looking for more hardware.
Georgia, like Texas, still has some regular-season left. Roswell (Ga.) and Lambert (Ga.) can't look too far ahead yet.

West Top 10
The West nearly had a new No. 1 like some other regions. Loyola-Los Angeles (Calif.) needed overtime for a win to keep the top spot. No. 2 Marin Catholic defeated De La Salle (Calif.) and St. Ignatius (Calif.) in an impressive week of Top-10 wins.
This week the marquee Top-10 matchup will feature Valor Christian (Colo.) against Regis Jesuit (Colo.). A win for either in the matchup would be huge.
St. Ignatius and Mount Si (Wash.) split their weeks, but neither loss was damaging to their ranking. Brophy (Ariz.) is the top seed for the Arizona Lacrosse League playoffs that begin this week.
Our West rankings cover the Mountain, Pacific and Northwest regions and at least part of the Southwest.
1. Loyola–Los Angeles (Calif.), 17-3
Loyola stays at the top after adding two more wins, including an 11–10 overtime victory over Torrey Pines (Calif.). It wasn’t easy, but grinding out a one-goal game against a top opponent matters. They continue to be tested week in and week out and still look like the team to beat out West. Previous: 1
2. Marin Catholic (Calif.), 12-5
Marin Catholic put together a strong week with wins over St. Ignatius (Calif.) 10–6 and De La Salle (Calif.) 14–8. Both results were convincing and show they’re starting to separate themselves within NorCal. This is the kind of week that reinforces their position near the top. Previous: 2
3. St. Ignatius (Calif.), 11-6
St. Ignatius split the week, picking up a tight 9–8 win over Sacred Heart Prep (Calif.) before falling to Marin Catholic 10–6. The one-goal win shows they can close, but the loss highlights the gap against the very top teams right now. Previous: 3
4. Valor Christian (Colo.), 10-2
Valor continues to dominate locally with decisive wins over Rock Canyon (Colo.) 15–2 and Chaparral (Colo.) 19–0. They’ve been consistent all season, but the upcoming matchup with undefeated Regis Jesuit (Colo.) will be one of the most important games left before the postseason. Previous: 4
5. Cherry Creek (Colo.), 8-2

6. Torrey Pines (Calif.), 8-3
Torrey Pines came up just short in one of the biggest games of the week, falling 11–10 in overtime to Loyola. Even in the loss, they proved they can go toe-to-toe with the top team in the rankings, which keeps them firmly in the mix. Previous: 6
7. De La Salle (Calif.), 12-4
De La Salle dropped a matchup with Marin Catholic 14–8 but responded well with a strong 14–11 win over Sacred Heart Prep (Calif.). The bounce-back matters, and they continue to show resilience against quality competition. Previous: 7
8. Regis Jesuit (Colo.), 11-0
Regis Jesuit moves up after staying undefeated, most recently with a 9–4 win over Mountain Vista (Colo.). They’ve consistently handled their schedule, and with no losses, they’ve earned the jump. The matchup with Valor Christian will be a defining test. Previous: 9

Brophy slips a spot as others gain momentum, but a 17–4 record still reflects a strong season overall. They’ve handled most of their matchups and remain firmly in the top 10 heading into postseason play. Previous: 8
10. Mount Si (Wash.), 12-2
Mount Si had a mixed week, falling to Westlake (Texas) 13–9 before bouncing back with a convincing 17–6 win over Alamo Heights (Texas). The response after the loss stands out, and they’ve earned their place in the rankings. Previous: 10
