High School Girls

With a storybook ending to her historic Manchester Valley (Md.) career, Clemson-bound Emma Penczek has been named the USA Lacrosse High School Girls' National Player of the Year.

The Florida State-bound midfielder led the Knights to their fifth CIF-Southern Section Division I title with 95 goals and 44 assists, averaging a staggering 4.3 goals per game.

The Cornell-bound midfielder became New Trier's all-time draw control leader and scored the winning goal in the state final. She's one of three Trevians on the All-Midwest Team.
