Kevin Cassese has made his first big move as the head coach at Virginia, hiring Vermont head coach Chris Feifs as his defensive coordinator and top assistant.

Cassese spent the previous three seasons under former head coach Lars Tiffany.

Cassese spent the 2024-26 seasons on Lars Tiffany's staff overseeing the offense.

Lars Tiffany, who led Virginia to the ACC championship this season, will not return as the Cavaliers coach for the 2027 season.
