Unbeaten Culver Academy (Ind.) is the new No. 1 team in the USA Lacrosse High School Boys' National Top 25, presented by CWENCH Hydration.

The Eagles are off to a 5-0 start with wins over Dallas Jesuit (Texas), Highland Park (Texas), St. Anthony's (N.Y.), St. John's (D.C.) and Landon (Md.).

Coming in at No. 2 this week is fast-rising Episcopal Academy (Pa.). The Churchmen won a share of last year's Inter-Ac League title, their first league crown since 1998. That set expectations high for this season, and they took a huge step toward fulfilling them by picking up a statement win over former No. 1 Lawrenceville (N.J.).

Lawrenceville bounced back quickly by handing Malvern Prep (Pa.) its first loss of the season. The Big Red will face another challenge with Deerfield (Mass.) on the docket this week.

With the New England Prep schools opening play, there was plenty of other movement in a busy week. Deerfield and St. Sebastian's (Conn.) were big risers after key wins. Tabor (Mass.) and Taft (Conn.) are two of four new additions to the rankings.

Hill School (Pa.) is new, as well, after the Blues defeated St. John's (D.C.) in a matchup that carried regional implications. Boys' Latin (Md.), which has played a strong schedule, returns to the rankings after a win over McDonogh (Md.) highlighted a week in which MIAA conference play opened.

This week's schedule is somewhat lighter, but a top-10 matchup between Episcopal and St. Anthony's is one to watch. Brunswick (Conn.) also begins a gauntlet, with Malvern followed by Loomis Chaffee (Conn.) before Lawrenceville the following week.
