Half Hollow Hills (N.Y.) is the new No. 1 and Broadneck (Md.) is the lone newcomer in this week's USA Lacrosse Public High School Boys’ National Top 25.

Half Hollow Hills remains perfect through 15 games. The Thunderbirds have outscored opponents, 283-105, behind the heroics of All-American attackman Anthony Raio (North Carolina), who became the all-time leading goal scorer in Suffolk County history (255 career goals) and is six shy of the Long Island record.

Northport (N.Y.) was a two-goal victim earlier this year, the only team to stay within four goals of them.

No. 5 Kent Island (Md.) and No. 23 West Genesee (N.Y.) are the other two unbeatens left in the Top 25. Wins over Darien (Conn.) and Fairfield Prep (Conn.) helped New Canaan (Conn.) rise four spots to No. 6. They face a key matchup against No. 13 Ridgefield (Conn.) this Monday.

Half Hollow Hills ascended after former No. 1 Summit (N.J.) lost its county tournament championship game to Westfield (N.J.). Westfield, which has five losses in a competitive schedule, moves up to No. 9 after the signature win.

Broadneck moves into the Top 25 on the strength of its ninth straight win. The Bruins are looking to extend their streak in Saturday’s Class 4A state semifinal matchup against North County (Md.).

The South Region had the most significant change. Highland Park (Texas) won its state championship to leapfrog Lake Mary (Fla.) in the region rankings. Another Colorado school, Mountain Vista, also made a sizable jump to No. 10.
