Program Leader

A MEMBERSHIP BUILT FOR THE PEOPLE WHO DO THE BUILDING

You build the program. We help make the building easier — with insurance, background checks for every coach, roster mangement and registration tools, grant funding, and a Regional Manager who knows your leagues by name.

Custom Support

Your Regional Manager

USA Lacrosse Regional Managers are spread across ten regions. They know the leagues, the field situations and the challenges in the markets where you operate, and they have helped hundreds of programs work through exactly what you are working through.

They will help you get set up, sort out insurance and rostering, work out grant eligibility, and tell you what has worked for similar programs nearby. This is not a support ticket queue. It is a named person.

Program Protection

Insurance and Compliance

Program Membership is a program-level product that provides your program accident and liability coverage everywhere lacrosse happens.

What Program Membership covers
  • Accident and liability coverage for your program, as well as individual protection for members.
  • Directors and Officers coverage for your bronze-certified coaches — protecting against claims of discrimination and harassment, and covering the judgment calls the job requires.
  • Assurance that every coach in your program has been background-checked and SafeSport trained.
  • Equipment and fair-play standards to guide your program’s operations.

To receive full membership benefits and stay eligible for the insurance program, every player and coach — plus at least one Program Leader — must be an active USA Lacrosse member. That’s also what lets you get a certificate of insurance (COI) to secure fields and facilities. A partial roster means partial risk. We help you manage both.

Five Steps to Compliance
  1. Purchase a Program Leader membership; complete background check and abuse prevention training
  2. Contact your Regional Manager to secure access to your program portal
  3. Access your program portal to sign your annual Membership Organization Agreement (MOA)
  4. Request a certificate of insurance
  5. Submit your seasonal roster(s)

Once you submit your roster, your Regional Manager handles the roster busywork. They'll reach out directly to coaches and athletes who need to update their membership information, and keep you posted with regular updates so you can stay focused on running your program.

Program Growth

Grants & Funding

The USA Lacrosse National Grant Program is designed to help programs start strong, grow responsibly, and reach more athletes by removing barriers to participation.

Advancement Grants are designed specifically for member programs ready to take the next step. These grants — awarded on a quarterly basis — provide funding and equipment to organizations facing obstacles to growth. Support is flexible and responsive, helping programs sustain momentum and grow responsibly.

While Advancement Grants are only available to member programs, additional grants are available throughout the year to eligible programs.
