One year after going 12-4, Fairfield missed the CAA tournament and scuffled to a 4-10 record. That has prompted a change.
Fairfield announced today that it will part ways with head coach Andrew Baxter, who spent seven seasons leading the Stags. He went 43-47 with a 16-24 record in CAA play.
"I want to thank Andrew Baxter for his service to Fairfield Men's Lacrosse and to our student-athletes," said Paul Schlickmann, Fairfield's vice president for athletics. "Coach Baxter has represented our program and our University with class and integrity for the past seven seasons. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors."
A search for Baxter's successor will begin immediately, and Fairfield will be assisted by TurnkeyZRG — a talent advisory firm in sports, media and entertainment.
