Harford Concludes Season of Dominance with NJCAA Title

BEL AIR, Md. — No. 1 Harford (MD) defended its NJCAA men's national championship title with a 20-10 victory over No. 2 Nassau (NY) on Sunday.
The Fighting Owls completed their second perfect season to claim their third consecutive title. Harford went undefeated in 2023 when it won its first title.
Harford won every game by eight-plus goals to finish 14-0.
Nassau came out of the gates firing with three consecutive goals to open up, but Harford responded with six goals of its own to end the first quarter ahead 6-3. The second quarter saw both teams find the back of the net multiple times, but the Fighting Owls expanded their lead to 10-6 at halftime.
Harford matched its first-half total with 10 more goals in the final two frames, while the Fighting Owls defense held Nassau to four goals to earn back-to-back-to-back titles.
Harford’s Liam Forsyth was named the Steve Caravana Offensive Player of the Tournament with 11 goals and four assists in two games. Harford’s Jack Donovan was named the Steve Caravana Defensive Player of the Tournament with 20 goals allowed and 20 saves in two games between the pipes.
Fighting Owls head coach Aaron Verardi was named the Coach of the Tournament.
