St. Thomas, the reigning MCLA Division II champion, is in a familiar position atop the USA Lacrosse MCLA Division II Preseason Top 20.
Conference rival Grand Valley State is right behind the Tommies at No. 2. Cal State San Marcos is No. 3 after finishing lastspring ranked No. 6. North Dakota State is No. 4 after a No. 7 finish, and Air Force rounds out the top five.
Bryce Gordon from No. 2 Grand Valley State is the USA Lacrosse MCLA Division II Preseason Player of the Year. Gordon lead the runner-up Lakers with 104 points in 2025.
The Rockford, Mich., native leads a strong Lakers team with multiple returning All-Americans.
