Saint Anselm, ranked third in the current USA Lacrosse Division II Men's Top 20, presented by CWENCH Hydration, will soon be transitioning to the NEWMAC in Division III, the school announced Wednesday.

An FAQ page has been set up to answer any lingering questions.

One of the top Division II programs over the past several seasons, Saint Anselm has been a top contender in the Northeast 10 for the past several seasons. The school announced its move to the NEWMAC as one that "positions Saint Anselm to elevate the student-athlete experience while aligning with institutions that share its commitment to academic rigor, competitive excellence, and holistic student development."

Saint Anselm will complete its final year in the Northeast 10 Conference during the 2026–27 academic year before officially beginning the transition on July 1, 2027. Saint Anselm is expected to achieve full Division III membership by 2029–30, pending NCAA Division III Membership Committee approval.
