A rocky season for Towson might have turned a corner on Saturday, as Mikey Weisshaar deposited six goals — including the overtime winner — in a 19-18 win over Delaware.
For his winning performance, Weisshaar is the USA Lacrosse Player of the Week.
Despite a 2-5 record, Towson is still getting a stellar season from its junior midfielder. The Arnold, Md., product has produced 18 goals, six assists, 11 ground balls and six caused turnovers.
Weisshaar entered 2025 as the USA Lacrosse Preseason Midfielder of the Year.
Cole Sparks, Anderson
Anderson loves to run-and-gun, and their top shooter was Sparks with six goals and three assists against Lander. The Limestone transfer now has 31 points through the first seven games of the season.
Brooks Hauser, Tufts
With a hat trick against Hamilton when goals were hard to come back, and four goals against RIT in an NCAA title game rematch, Hauser was a key offensive weapon for the top-ranked Jumbos and helped them to a 2-0 weekend at the Callum Robinson Mustang Classic.
