Winter Weather Wreaks More Havoc on College Lacrosse Schedule

Get your spring sport memes ready. A strong arctic front bringing bitter cold to the Northeast and Great Lakes regions this weekend has led to another rash of schedule changes in NCAA Division I lacrosse.

Below is a list of games that have been postponed, rescheduled or moved indoors because of the weather, with new dates, times (all Eastern) and, in some cases, locations denoted. Notably, No. 17 Johns Hopkins at No. 4 Georgetown has been postponed with both teams working on a makeup date.

Hat tip to our colleague Dan Arestia, who is tracking most of the men’s lacrosse updates as they come in on X. In many cases, games previously scheduled for Saturday have been moved up to Friday before the cold front arrives.

Several high-profile women's lacrosse matchups, including No. 2 Northwestern at No. 3 Boston College (closed to public) and No. 14 Navy at No. 7 Virginia, were previously scheduled to be played indoors (in the case of the former) or set for Friday (in the case of the latter).
