Just when you think Johns Hopkins can’t possibly do it again, the Blue Jays do it again.
The Jays improved to 3-0 in overtime games and boosted their resume last week with wins over Syracuse and USC. As a result, they moved up four spots to No. 10 in this week’s USA Lacrosse Division I Women’s Top 20.
Five of Hopkins’ eight games have been decided by one goal, and the Jays are 4-1 in those affairs — the only loss coming in the season opener, 12-11 to Florida. MK Lescault delivered the latest game-winning goal to down Syracuse 14-13 in the Dome.
Stanford is another notable mover this week after a nail-biter of a 11-10 win over Yale. The Bulldogs, who entered No. 4 and undefeated, fall back to No. 6 while Stanford takes their place at No. 4.
Maryland, winners of five straight, is sandwiched between them at No. 5.
