Delaware women's lacrosse, seeking a new home since November when the Blue Hens athletic department announced it would leave the CAA to join Conference USA, has accepted an invitation to join the ASUN Conference starting on July 1, 2025.
The ASUN will have nine teams when Delaware joins. Austin Peay, Coastal Carolina, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Liberty, Lindenwood, Queens and Stetson are the other eight.
Coastal Carolina won the ASUN tournament in May and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the first time in program history. Jacksonville had previously been the conference favorite.
Delaware posted its best season since 2016 last spring, winning 10 games.
The Blue Hens will stay in the CAA for one last season in 2025 and will be eligible for postseason inclusion.
