INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Committee has selected the 47 teams that will compete in the 2026 NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Championship, headlined by Middlebury — a team seeking its fifth NCAA championship in a row.
Thirty-one conferences were awarded automatic qualification for the championship. The other 16 places were reserved for an at-large berth, which includes institutions from automatic-qualifying conferences that did not win their conference championship.
Fourteen first-round games will be conducted on Saturday, May 9, with one on Friday, May 8. The winners will advance to the second round. Fifteen second-round games will be conducted on Sunday, May 10, with one on Saturday, May 9, with the winners advancing to one of four regional sites Saturday and Sunday, May 16-17.
Winners of the four regionals will advance to the semifinals and final, which take place Friday and Sunday, May 22-24 at Judson Stadium in Rochester, New York. Rochester Institute of Technology will serve as hosts for the championship.
